WHAT IS CONSIGNMENT?  We will help you sell your items and take a fee for doing that.  When you bring your items in to us, we will select items that we believe will sell.  You receive money after your items sell. WHEN CAN I BRING ITEMS IN?  You may bring items in at anytime the store is open; no appointment is required. WILL YOU ACCEPT EVERYTHING I BRING IN? While BELLA GRANDE is not a "high-end" consignment shop, we're committed to maintaining a higher level of merchandise within our boutique atmosphere. For that reason we're particular about the items we accept. We have a preference for those items that are mostly name brand and trendy; styles that can be found in major department or brand name stores today. Please bring in items that are clean, pressed, on disposable hangers or folded neatly in shopping bags, totes, or boxes.  We generally will not accept discount brands, such as Basic Editions, Faded Glory, Premier, etc. WHAT ITEMS WILL YOU ACCEPT?  We accept women's better brand clothing, accessories, and small gift items. (See "Consignment Information" to learn how we accept consignments). HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN MY ITEMS HAVE SOLD? It is the consignor's responsibility to contact us regarding account balances or sold items.  Your account is credited immediately upon sale. You can call or stop by any time and we can tell you how much money is on your account. You may pick up any money on your account at any time or you may use it as store credit. Amounts over $30 are paid by check. Checks are available for pick-up on the 16th of each month.  We will mail checks not picked up at the end of each month.  Accounts with balances left dormant for one year are forfeited. WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ITEMS DO NOT SELL?  After 60 days, we clearance items and donate the unsold items to charity.  All items go to charities that do not sell these items, but rather give to the needy. WHAT IF I WANT MY UNSOLD ITEMS BACK? We prefer people leave their unsold items, but are happy to pull unsold items for you. At the time of original drop-off you will be given an expiration date for each consignment. You must reclaim your unsolds within 7 days of expiration.  Please call within 24 hours before you will be picking up your items, so we can have time to pull those items. If items are not reclaimed within 7 days of consignment expiration date they become the property of BELLA GRANDE to dispose of in various ways, including sale and donation. DO YOU BUY OUTRIGHT? Sometimes we do buy outright.  We usually pay garage sale price when buying outright.  Our experience is that you'll usually make more money consigning items, but if you would rather not consign, we will make you an offer to buy your items.  WHO SETS THE PRICES?  We do.  We know what our customers are willing to pay for items. When you consign with us, we are in business together and we will price your items as high as possible, yet still make them marketable.  If you consign something that you feel is very valuable, please let us know so we can price it accordingly. WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES TO CONSIGNING WITH YOU vs HAVING A GARAGE SALE?  We will do all the work, and probably make you more money!  We will:       consign your items for 60 days       do all the advertising       be open 6 days a week       provide dressing rooms       display items nicely in our store (and out of bad weather)       save you hours of labor       make you more money!    Example: Jeans, garage sale price $2.00, our price $12.00 (you get $4-$5) WHY SHOULD I CONSIGN WITH BELLA GRANDE instead of ANOTHER SHOP?  When comparing consignment shops, consider everything.  WE are the ONLY consignment shop in the area specializing in PLUS SIZE!  We don't require an appointment to consign and there is no limit to the number of items you may consign at a time.
