Dealing With Incoming

When you are in the market for trendy plus size apparel to consign as I am, it can be tough getting peole to understand what you need and require.  Bella Grande is built on customer service, and it is sometimes a bit hard telling a consignor that what they are bringing us is out of date or is from a discount store. So how do we overcome this dilemma?

When consignors sign up with us, we give them a list of what is acceptable to us. We want to ensure condition is excellent and there are no stains, tears, loose seams or missing buttons. This can take a while when you have a consignor bringing in 100 pieces at a time.

Our approach is to allow consignors to walk in with their incoming. No making appointments, no waiting a week to see if the consignor articles will be accepted and every effort made to get them on their way as quickly as possible.  Is it easy? Not on your life! But it adds a sense of value to the consignor, and helps to build relationships.

We learned a long time ago that customer service would be the deciding factor in the success of our business. I’ve trained the staff to deal appropriately with consignors and to make their shopping experience the best it can possibly be.  It is all about the customer, and not about us. Even though this can be frustrating and stressful at times, it pays off in the long run. Bella Grande likes being known for its “Old Time” customer service. We wouldn’t want it any other way.

See you in store

Betsy
