I think blogging is the only way to go when you are trying to make your presence known on the Web. It is instant, can be automated, and the amount of plugins available for WordPress is awesome. I’ve been using WP every since it was first developed, and I will use little else. I can set up a domain in about 15 minutes, do some tweaking of settings, and be adding content to the Web in a half hour.

So what has all this to do with Bella Grande? Well, as you know, we have done some major upgrades on the Bella Grande website, and it is now set up for e-commerce. I am not a believer in “build it and they will come.” I have been building blogs that point to the BG website, using the keywords of the site as domain names. This gives BG tremendous link juice, and it is just one of the many tricks of the trade.

Those of you who struggle with an online presence can benefit from using WP and all it has to offer. I know that many shopkeepers are a bit technically challenged – hey! they want to sell clothing, not build blogs and websites.  But that is what we have people like me for. I love this kind of work, and I am very active in promoting BG. Hey, I even get paid! As the support person for BG, I find working as a team with my wife is pretty awesome. We make a good team – she is the one that has the business sense, and I have the technical expertise. it pays to work in a team. It gets a bit overwhelming otherwise…
